review 1: I absolutely loved this book. The premise that it is about improving the parent and not the child was brilliant and the 'teachings' inside it were invaluable. Many of the situations described were ones I had encountered myself and at times I was sure that if my daughter could fully verbalise her thoughts this book would be them.I haven't laughed at a book so much in a long time and am recommending to all of my friends and even the workers at my DD Nursery.Buy it - you won't be disappointed :)
review 2: The famous Honest Toddler shares her insights and wisdom to parents, grandparents and other interested readers who want to know how a toddler thinks. Grandparents are the best. Parents need to learn more. Infants are devils and should be avoided at all costs. D
... moreon't skip pages when reading a bedtime story. If the toddler wants lunch 30 minutes after turning it down, give it to them. If they want dinner right before bedtime, they should get it. And so on.I'm not a parent, so my views may be biased. Personally I thought the book did much better as a Facebook/Twitter account than as a full-length book. The book is funny and is very much like the social media personality, but as an actual *book* I'm not sure it really worked. Some of the jokes are very familiar if you follow The Honest Toddler on social media, although they weren't completely cut and pasted. As a humorous gift for a new parent or a parent who is advancing to the toddler stage, it's certainly good for a laugh. It's not like Dr. Spock so don't expect actual help. But for a smile about how to handle mornings, meal-times, playtimes, birthday parties, holidays, regular excursions and the like, it's certainly enjoyable. Much of the humor relies on pop culture (references to Liam Neeson's role in the film 'Taken' or Sesame Street, etc.) but it's done fairly well. I have a feeling I might have liked it more if I was a parent, but I did enjoy it. And I was happy to support the author, especially after she was threatened by The Honest Company (which sells baby products) about her use of the word "honest". However I think it works best as a gag gift. And if you can't afford the book/are waiting for the library to have a copy, following Honest Toddler on social media is a good substitute. less

Better enjoyed in bite-sized portions (blog/FB) but still very entertaining.

Didn't finish ... The wittiness doesn't translate into book form, for me.
