review 1: I received an ARC from the Author in exchange for an honest review. I LOVE this book. It is one of my favourite reads and I would go as far as to say it is up there in my top 5 books. I could read this over and over and never get bored of the story or falling in love with the characters all over again. The pace of the book is wonderful, it was nice to see the characters grow as the story went on espcially Emily. Emily starts off as wanting to be invisble and blend into the background, to fighting for the life she has bulit and realising she deserves more than the quiet life she had been living until Danny offered her a job at the boxing gym he owns. While working at the gym she gets to know O'Connell and who cares if Em fell for him or not, I surely did! He may be a fighter... more and was definately protective / a little possesive with Em but he also did some really sweet things for her and you could see how much he loved her. I loved their relationship. All the other characters were great as well. They all had different personalities but they complimented each other really well. Loved Kieran, Danny and Nikki. This book made me laugh and smile with all the Irish banter and the interactions between the two friend groups. It also made me cry near then end when something terrible happens. You'll have to read the book to find out what that was and what happens after. This is one that I would definately recommend to everyone!!!Oh I really like that the prologue and the epilogue were from O'Connells point of view, it gives another angle to the book and his and Em's relationship.
review 2: Loved this book and couldnt put it down. There are a lot of books similar to this out at the moment that they all start to feel a bit samey. The difference with this book is that you can feel the connection between the two main characters and feel for Emily and what she has gone through. There are some great side characters as well like kieran that could easily have a book by himself. There are some great touches in the book like the love scenes which were written really well and didnt need to be to be too explicit for it to work. Really hope there is a second book to see what happens to them next but also expand the series to involve the other characters we have met. Great book from a new author and I'm sure we will hear a lot more from her less
