review 1: Candace Cameron Bure did a wonderful job showing the necessity of having God at the center of your life in order to maintain balance. The following were my favorite passages:"There are definitely seasons in our life when we need to focus on a particular area of our lives, but we end up in trouble when our identity is tied to what is just supposed to be a priority." - p. 47"There's something about being in the physical presence of those who know you well that lifts you up more than just talking on the phone can often do." - p. 107
review 2: I think this is the kind of book a lot of women can relate to and be encouraged by.. It was interesting to learn about Candace's family life, and of course growing up as a Hollywood actor, but mostly just to hear her personal
... more testimony throughout. I appreciated her speaking candidly, and directly to the readers about her past, and how those experience and her faith in Christ have shaped her into who she is today. Probably my favorite parts were when she shared about her prayer life and ways she sets boundaries with her children and social media, etc.. Don't look for this to be a how-two but more so just someone, who happens to be a Christian, as well as a celebrity sharing her personal experiences. I think there is a lot to gain if you approach this book from that perspective. less
