review 1: This book was mainly a memoir about the life experiences the pilot had while being in the Air Force. He mainly wrote it just to tell others what it’s like to be a fighter pilot and the many things he has gone through. Some things he’s gone through are intense training, flying a failing plane, and the many missions he’s gone on. Overall, the authors style of writing was great because of his switching between an informative chapter that tells about the facts and history, and the point of view chapters. Also, he had very good description when it is in his point of view. The pacing of the book could’ve been a little better because it seemed to jump around a little too much. Finally, ending was alright, however it could’ve used some work. I would recommend this book t... moreo anyone who likes the Air Force, planes, or the military in general.
review 2: The technology the F-16J has and the pilot's ability to manage that technology while flying and fighting is truly amazing. My hat's off to Dan Hampton and his fellow Weasels... YGBSM! Back in the day the F-105G/F-4E Hunter Killer Teams were gutsy and tuff with the same dedication and heroism. Today's technology is more lethal; probably more effective. I'm proud to be a former fighter pilot; I am proud of today's team carrying on the tradition! less

Good, detailed narratives of the author's missions. Found the glossary particularly helpful.
