review 1: I appreciate the goal of this book (defining/explaining mental illnesses), but I was hoping that it would go a bit deeper into the author's experience working with people in a psychiatric facility. It was essentially a basic guide to different mental illnesses with some short anecdotes. I liked the simple drawing style, and certain frames were done especially well. The final chapter was much more personal than the rest, and that one resonated with me-- I wished there was more of that.

His black and white illustrations, which vary in style within the same story, are distinctive and effective.I like that he aspires to higher purpose in his books, which I've seen othe... morer reviewers say they thought was overblown.
