review 1: This is such a wonderful and original story! My husband and I love it! He loves maps, but I get confused trying to use them. However, I love David Elliot's idea, story, and his illustrations make this picture book so worth picking up to read to any child. I am currently starting to write my own picture books, so I am reading children's books again even though I have teenagers now! This is a GREAT read!
review 2: "A place for everything and everything in its place," is Henry's motto. So he sets out to make a map so everyone knows where everything is. He draws in the sheep, the cow, the horse, the chickens and, of course, himself. But when the animals go to the hill to observe the farm, they find the map is inaccurate because there are no animals on the farm
... more now. So they scurry back to been "in their place."I love the illustrations ... especially the sheep swinging from branches and riding a horse. less

Sweet little pig draws a naive map of his world. Love his love of order and neatness....
