review 1: This is a great read, very well-written, and witty. You will not only see Donna Britt but yourself laid bare in these pages. Her natural responses to life's twists and turns really made me think about my own behavior and reaction to events in my life. While this novel speaks of her numerous accomplishments and accolades it shows how despite or in spite of a women's achievements we still feel devalued and invisible. I loved this book!
review 2: I have been a faithful reader of Donna Britt's columns when she wrote for the Washington Post. I distinctly remember her column on raising teenage sons and how I was moved to tears one morning reading her thoughts on this topic.
