review 1: I'm only about 50 pages in, and already I'm hooked on the letters between these two marvelous poets. For anyone interested in either Bishop and Lowell (or both poets') poems OR for fans of literary correspondence, you can't do much better than this compendium of over thirty years of notes and discussions of travels, life, love, love-gone-away, and the writing life. OK, so I'm a poetry junkie. This book is 900 pages long and every page is fascinating.
