review 1: I liked a lot of this book, and some of it I really didn't like. I thought a few of the essays were poor, and like many reviewers, didn't love the inclusion of fiction and non-fiction. Mostly it felt like it presented the experiences of a bunch of "edgy women" in the spirit of Jong's work, so in some ways, what you see is what you get there. So they were all "edgy," but not necessarily diverse views, and that got old for me after a while. It covers a wide range of sexual experiences but even with all the variety it seriously lacked from a lesbian and/or bisexual voice which I think is a huge oversight. Even if you don't like all or even most of the stories it's a good exercise to think about why you didn't like them and reflect on your own opinions and experiences. less

I was deeply disappointed. Should rather have bought a book written by Erica Jong herself.
