review 1: The subject of the book fascinated me and I was not disappointed. The picture it paints of Osama's inside world, his wives, his kids is intriguing and for some reason I sympathise with the man now! He's a classic example of how someone living a royal life gradually faces events that fill the person with so much jingoism that he feels killing is the only answer left, including expecting his sons to volunteer for martyrdom. His only praise worthy quality I could take notice of in the book was, that although he was extremely conservative, he was just liberal enough to let go off those who wanted to leave him and was not heartless to a point of keeping everyone stick to him to meet the same fate as his.

The hatred for all of mankind, the weirdness of how he treated his entire family, the way he lusted behind war losing his riches, power and good camaraderie with various Governments during his journey - something for all of us to read and be thankful we still exist and are sane humans despite so much anger and hatred in this world. less
