review 1: I really enjoyed this book. The first 2/3 is in the spirit of Twain's Innocents Abroad. A fun mocking of the ridiculous inside-out world of modern India.Not as funny, but more moving, the next portion of the story where the author relaxes and accepts things for how they are. And finally, we return to the many shortcomings of living in India, but we approach them with more strength.I looked forward every evening to returning to this book.
review 2: I was expecting a little more from this book than chick lit. Out of 300 pages, she spends 200 of it whining. The last 117 pages were the best part.
