review 1: Absolutely hilarious! I love this book and this author. It had me literally laughing out loud which reminds me to warn you about reading this in public because I received a few awkward stares on the subway, in class, and at the park. I also have to warn you that there are parts of this book where she sort of rambles on for a while but I think it adds charm to her stories and personality. Just push through it and you'll see that the jokes that she made at the end of all that ramble was worth it.
review 2: I should have known this might not be the book for me when I saw that people who enjoy David Sedaris would like this - I don't. The author seems to think she is extremely unique and funny, but for any of us who grew up in a small town this was the way of it. No... morething new and I could probably out do her on some fronts. I just didn't like her story telling methods. Glad I was able to check it out from the library and didn't purchase it. less
