review 1: Everyone should read this book. I'm so wrecked and moved and worried for these girls' future! I don't even know what else to say. Just read it. It's an incredible feat of journalism and such a compelling story that I couldn't put it down. And then I wept because this is nonfiction. These women are real and are living an existence I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. It also completely changed how I felt about troops pulling out of Afghanistan. Goddamn, the world is complicated, screwed up and in desperate need of some miracles.
