review 1: Good book. Well written. Not really what I expected when I picked it up. I really thought it would be another book in praise of natural foods locally grown and simple living by returning to nature. But the story is more complex (and real) than that. I was impressed with the honesty of the author; revealing much more about her feelings and shortcomings than most of us are willing to do. In the end, I really enjoyed the book. It's a love story after all!In addition, I learned something from the author about relationships and how they can work. Can't ask much more from a book than that.
review 2: This was a remarkable book. Glib, yes. Very funny in a sophisticated way. I love the heroine. But perhaps the saving character, the balance of the book, is contribu... moreted by ms. Knadler's husband. His earnestness and goodness just can't be real. This one of my favorite books in years. It surprised, I identified with, I was educated. I just wish could find a cowboy like hers and ride off into the sunset. Alas, cowboys only like girls unless you're rue watching broke back mountain.This truly a great book! less
