review 1: It was a really good book. After I read a few pages I really got into the book because it was really interesting. Its really cool how Jimmy made his own comic books and published one of them. He also was a really good artist, the drawings he made are really nice. He should definitely make more comics because his are amazing. I think lots of people should read this book because its really cool and interesting. Once you start reading it its kinda weird but a few pages into the book it gets really interesting. I would definitely read more books like this because they are interesting.
review 2: Meaningful and honest, Gownley's book is also very funny. Set in PA coal country, Jimmy is looking for his place in that world & the bigger one. Jimmy grew up at roughly t... morehe same time I did, so as an adult reader, I found the look back entertaining. But for a child &/or teen reader, this book could turn on the lightbulb for them--that it's okay to fail, that if you love what you do, you keep working, and you will probably not be the biggest fish. Charming and worthwhile. less
