review 1: This was a very good book although it was slow at times. It made you feel what the parents felt during the process of finding out about their sign and then the many years that it took to find out what answer they could. The truth in the many lies and deceptions that go on in closed communities, cities, organization's, etc,... It is amazing how strong the bonds are to and with political people and what it takes to keep them safe. I would recommend this book. It's a shame what Duncan had to go through. It's also a shame what his parents had to go through including jumping through hoops to find the answer to the story of what happened to him on that ski slope or in that area.
review 2: Duncan's death was a tragedy. The cover up that has followed over the last 25 ... moreyears a greater tragedy.The main lesson to learn is to be extremely careful when and where you travel and never do adventure activities solo. I have managed to get myself in considerable difficulty three times at ski resorts. I was always able to extricate myself but I did have others with me that could have called for help. I have also traveled alone in Europe and in the Canadian Rockies which I probably should not have done.The book is chilling in the matter of fact manner of the writing. The evidence is clearly presented and documented. The only criticism I can make is that some facts are repeated more often that is needed.Bob and Lynda, Duncan's parents, come across as truly remarkable people, persistent beyond belief, courageous and dedicated to their children. I hope they will be truly blessed by their remaining son and his children.I also hope the perpetrators in this death and cover-up will be exposed. less
