review 1: Quite liked this book with the new stories and also the viewpoint of the investors. It's interesting to see how some investors pledge a lot but fail to fulfill their pledge, while others keep contributing. The only issue I had with this book is that some of the stories appear in the previous book then again I guess that's for those who hadn't read the first book. Nevertheless, it's a good read and good to see what Room to Read is doing.
review 2: Incredibly interesting read. I loved learning more about how John Wood managed to set up this incredibly successful NGO that is run like a business and has a very long term view on building libraries, schools and educational programs for the underprivileged in developing countries. He focuses both on successes and fail... moreures. However, I did not like his writing style that much. I guess he is a much better orator than he is a writer. less
