review 1: While this book follows a particular show dog (Jack, the Aussie cover dog) for a year on the dog show circuit, lots of other dogs are mentioned. Not only is this book a fascinating look into the world of show dogs and dog shows, with lots of interesting information and trivia, it is also entertaining and laugh-out-loud funny in places. I feel like I finally understand how dogs are judged, after years of wondering "Why that dog? They all look good to me." This book is a must-read for anyone who's ever wondered the same thing.
