review 1: It's been a long time since I've been this thouroughly entertained by a personal narrative. This is not the type of book I usually read, so I approached it unsure but I was glad I read it. Not sure if YA is the best target audience. I'd suggest NA or adult. I don't think teens will appreciate this as much as foks in their 20s. Josh is hilarious and the format of the book, including his adorable hand drawn graphs and charts is perfect. I had never heard of him before reading this but by the time I was done, not only did I like him, but I felt like I knew him. I recommend this book. It's a great, fun read and leaves you smiling long after the last page.
review 2: The marketing of this book as a children's non-fiction book by the book publisher on NetGalley total
... morely failed for me. I went into the book not knowing about Mr. Sundquist and thinking that the book would be a fun, sarcastic read for my teen boys. While there is some sarcasm and humor - it is more of an introspective book that a person in their 30's might read as opposed to a teen or a child. If the book was marketed for a different audience it would work much better. less
