review 1: I really enjoyed "Drunk Mom".The author took me on a ride that had me empathizing with her one moment and shaking my head at her the next. I feel like I have a better understanding of addiction and could relate to some of her thoughts. I commend Jowita for sharing a story that will get a lot of negative backlash but it is a story that needs to be told as it is the experience of many families in Canada.
review 2: This book is raw, dark and at times a difficult to read. I had a difficult time putting it down. The author of this book, Jowita Bydlowska, is a brave woman to write about her addiction so openly. It reminds me a lot of A Million Little Pieces by James Frey. ... moren. I can't believe that she doesn't have some serious health problems from drinking that amount of alcohol for so long. I wish her all the best in her sobriety. I hope she stays sober for her son. less

Really good, once you get into her rhythm, but absolutely the wrong thing to read in a bar.

A disturbing and candid memoir of true impairment and the devastation of alcoholism.
