review 1: I absolutely love Judith Lucy. She is definitely my favourite female comedian and I can't think of a male comedian off the top of my head I like more. The first half of this book was hilarious. Like her other book, The Lucy Family Alphabet, I read it in her voice. The second half while funny in parts was very different and interesting. Overall I loved this book, I loved the show that followed this (even though I saw that before even knowing this book existed) and just adore Judith Lucy in general!
review 2: This book is laugh out loud funny, especially in the first half. Towards the end the book does get a bit preachy when discussing the benefits of Yoga. However, it is Lucy's spiritual journey and she is entitled to write whatever she thinks. Still, my favou... morerite parts were the ones where she was writing about her self-destruction, through alcohol, sex, family dysfunctions and through actions that might have affected her long-term career. less
