review 1: I could relate to her story of burning out in every possible way and I appreciated the research and background she incorporated into her story. I just wish there was more insight into what to do about it on the recovery end, since most people (me included) can't take a year off of work and then just freelance at home. But I appreciated her honesty and it was nice to know I'm not alone in the struggle between home, work and sanity.
review 2: This book is everything Lean In tried to be. I regretted that it was a library book because there were so many passages I wanted to read and highlight. Not only does it combine Alcorn's own experiences with hard data, she also includes tangible takeaways to make things better. Hands down, the best modern working parent boo
... morek I have come across. I will be recommending it to all my working mom friends! less

I found this book very interesting but kind of depressing too I'm not sure how I feel about it.

A very courageous, honest story, and a must read for moms working outside the home.
