review 1: This was an easy and quick read, but it was not very interesting. I've read other blogs and books based on people's dating experiences, and this one fell flat. I liked hearing about the grandma's dating exploits, but we only got glimpses into her side of things. It was also hard to shake the feeling of entitlement and superiority the author had-- she works in a nightclub making 6 figures and "oh, did I mention I run a charity? Let me tell you all about my African charity..." Instead of it making her dynamic, she seemed braggy and snooty. In the end, I didn't care whether or not she found someone worthy to date, or even how her life would turn out. A very "meh" book.
review 2: This was a fun and entertaining read about the author's year of online dating. Kayli ... morewith her Granny as sidekick decided to tackle online dating after a finding out her ex-boyfriend has moved on and started a relationship. From building up a profile to going on dates both Kayli and Granny found out so much more about themselves than expected. The tone was lighthearted but still carried an element of truth regarding how people connect and how dating is more fun than you might think. less
