review 1: Let me just say one simple thing without getting in long writing, discussions or arguments.I LOVED this book.I think it's a must read for every female or gay man who are trying to figure themselves out or to find themselves in their pre-programmed destiny, or who are just finishing studies in a university. Kelly Cutrone is brutally honest (staying true to her own brand!) and helpful. I very much enjoyed her life story/autobiography because all her tips and all her advice was based on her own life experiences. It made very much sense. In addition, I didn't really feel like she was "dropping names", as mentioned in some reviews I read. Thus, I think that mostly Americans have an issue with it because I don't and I want to know that through hard work or chance, or just luck sh... moree happened to meet some well known people in her life. If someone aspires for it, no problem but I just like to have the full story, so I was pleased when everything was told clearly and straight just like it is. That's why I read her book.In the end, Kelly's charm and matter of fact attitude is refreshing in the whole pool of fake and phony books.I recommend and am looking forward to re-reading it in a year or so to see where I moved from my current self. Also, the book was very helpful since it says what not many books talk about (haven't read anything similar) and I hope all her tips and advice will help me to find myself and what I really want out of life.
review 2: I loved her writing style and found a good portion of the book to be funny and informative; however, the rest of the content was not particularly interesting to me. I have no desire to be in the fashion industry, and the spirituality theme woven throughout the second half of the book was a bit of a turn-off.I would read more of her work, though; she is definitely a good wordsmith and I'd be interested in learning more from her business life. less

Some great advice, even if you aren't interested in her field. Enjoyed how personal it is.

Fluff, but I love her public persona and enjoyed what she says about women.
