review 1: This was the first book I've read from LynDee Walker and I'm trilled to have found such a great mystery author! This book was easy to read, exciting and I loved the main character Nichelle. She is a stubborn and very independent lady with high motivation for her work as a crime reporter and a passion for high heels. Nichelle's life twists and turns so fast from an ordinary traffic accident to a murder investigation that I had to sit on the edge of my sofa to keep up! I loved how the plot kept me on my toes until the very end. I'm so excited to read more of Nichelle's adventures in this series!
review 2: Apparently this is the first of a series starring Nichelle (weird name) Clarke, girl reporter. She is in competition with another woman for the title of crime ... morereporter. Her life is full of near misses, and scrapes which endanger the second hand name shoes that she wears. This book also takes place in Richmond--second book in a row that does. She happens on her editor and surmises that he is having a heart attack, saving his life by calling 911. In her world, it is hard to know who to trust. Who did the murders? Read and find out. less
