review 1: I really liked the book Flowers In The sky because the characters were really interesting and so was the book.I mostly liked the ending part because you would have never guessed what it was going to be like. I loved the characters Nina,Luis,Dario, and Serena Rivera;they were the perfect match for this story. Nina is from the DR and her mom told her it would be better to live with her brother in New York.
review 2: It took 100 pages (and a move to seedy Washington Heights) to grab me, but from then on I enjoyed it! Nina’s view of the world is slightly quirky so it took me a while to connect with the narrative. Her character arc is huge – she goes from being a coddled Dominican girl to someone who can and does make her own decisions– and eighteen year old ... moreLouis was a very surprising romantic interest for her.
