review 1: I have always been fascinated with Marlee Matlin. It was interesting to read her story. She's a bit of a name dropper but I guess I would be too if I was writing a book. The book has an interesting style. It bounces around. Not a whole lot of continuity. But for some reason it worked for me. It felt like we were sitting down together and she was telling me these stories, I appreciated that. I also want to go check out all her movies and tv shows
review 2: Publishing an autobiography must be hard - everyone has secrets, or at least things they don't want the world and/or their immediate families to know about them.Matlin however somehow pushes past these barriers and produces a book which not only provides a pleasant story of her rise from starring in Wiz
... moreard of Oz to Oscar and Golden Globe fame. What surprises is Matlin's candid reveal of childhood sexual abuse, and her difficult communication with her parents. Her tricky lukewarm relationship with her mother stands out as something I suspect most would prefer not to publish in a book, but makes I'll Scream Later all the more poignant because of it. less

I liked it. Not a great writing. But I loved her sincerity.
