review 1: A most interesting book. The tortured life of this young man was a bit difficult to comprehend, but the story of the Gypsy life-style in England was very clear. Limited resources, extreme lack of education, rigid cultural norms. This is not a sociology book, but one person's story. Abuse dominates, love includes accepting physical abuse.
