review 1: Because Geri is much smaller than the other giraffes, taking a group picture poses a problem. After devising all sorts of ways for Geri to rise to their heights, the giraffes listen to the suggestion of a wise caterpillar, and they make their move. I liked the story and the soft colors in this picture book and the reminder that sometimes we need to bend a little bit to accommodate the needs of others.

... moret instead of raising Geri up to their heights, the taller giraffes should bend down to Geri's height. This works perfectly and the final picture of the giraffes is the best one yet. The giraffes look a little silly, and the text can't decide if it wants to rhyme or not, but overall this is a great story to share for a jungle theme, a big and small theme, or a theme about being a little different. less
