review 1: Being an obsessed fan of the Backstreet Boys for nearly my whole life, I was surprised by the back story of the band's youngest member. I am amazed at how much I learned I have in common with him, but also at how he has turned his own life around in many ways and has set out to be an inspiration and role model to others. The book is part story, part inspirational life advice, and even part how-to. But Carter has a mastery of his thoughts and connects life lessons to points in his life in a successful and humbling way. There is no holier-than-thou pop star in the pages, just a raw portrayal of a real man who happens to be famous. Worth the read!
review 2: I love BSB, but I really did not like this book. When I bought this I thought it was going to be more o
... moref a memoir rather than a self help book, but it kept jumping from memoir to self help and it wasn't even in an organized way. The extent of his advise is, "Don't do what I did" and "if you are having problems then go see a therapist". But I did enjoy reading his stories that were very few and far between. less
