We all have that place in our mind that we go to when we are in dark places. For everyone, it’s a different place and that is exactly what Alison Wonderland sing about in her new track “Happy Place”. In the track she is shutting off the voices in her mind, and searching for her “Happy Place”, which is something we have all struggled with, especially in this day and age, when mental illnesses are more common than ever, depression and anxiety are real, especially upon our generation of “millennials”. This track is the first single off of Alison’s new album “Awake”.

The song starts calm with a beautiful instrumental, as Alison tells her story. However, the sound doesn’t stay calm. By the first drop of getting “fucked up on a spiritual level”, as Alison shouts through the drop, you heart is pumping. You start feeling the sense of wanting to go to your own “Happy Place”, and shit, by that second drop a song that once started as a beautiful instrumental, as quickly become a nasty trap beat with a wild drop. Mix that with a powerful story in the versus, and you have genuine Alison Wonderland track.
