review 1: Best book I've read on Wattpad so far.LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEE the backstory, the characters, everything. If this was published, I'd buy it. I don't care if it's a hardcover that costs a fortune, I will. It's long, but not boring. Some people may find...57? It was 57 chaps right? There was just so much going on that I kept going without realizing how long it was. Love the sparrows, including their adopted brother. Only thing I don't get is Sophia's backstory. Don't get me wrong, she was entertaining and necessary to the story, but her, erm, dark childhood didn't really add to the story. Her story, perfect. Her BACKstory, unnecessary.
review 2: 4.2Park Sparrow is a princess; a sarcastic, sharp witted girl who is, honestly, one of the most suited pe
... moreople to rule a kingdom that I've come across. She's brave, she's kind, and she's smart; don't let all the culture references deceive you. She was forced to lay low when attempts were made on her life, trading castles and dragons for the sharp insults of the king of the school. But this is Park we're talking about, and no boy can get away with insulting the princess without a good battle of wits. But with the acceptance of a new bodyguard comes changes she couldnt imagine. All her hard under the radar skills are about to be destroyed as the people hunting after Sparrow's life become as inseparable as the lost friends she's come to rely on. Where do I start? I loved the Sparrows, all of them. They have wonderfully unique personalities that didn't just vanish when you knew them for a few minutes. The hate between Park and Logan was real, the insults beautiful, and they didn't go on a blubbering apology fest once they started to like each other. In fact, the insults just continued. I loved them all, the characters were great and you could see the development. The only thing that was hard for me was the length. I don't know how long it was exactly, but it was not 200 some pages unless I'm not the speed reader I used to be (it took me three days of reading till midnight). I honestly started to forget what happened in the begining, and I was ready to put my happy stamp of approval and move on. Even though it was a bit too long for my taste, it also wasn't boring like some long books are. There were never great gaps with just filler that could have been cut out, it was a constant string of importance through the whole thing and just varied in how much information we were getting at that moment. All and all, an enjoyable, quirky read. Thank you, Orangechicken, for your dedication in writing this lovely story.P.S. Even the love pentagon didn't ruin it for me, thou I wanted to slap the blond witch far too often. Sometimes Logan included. less
