This is fourth of this series and the second book by this author I have read. The first book was a great read and this book was the same. The characters are well developed and have become friends. I was able to follow the story. The descriptions were outstanding and room me to Folly-Wait and surrounding area. The inhabitants are extremely loyal and support to the village and each other. I like the way The two separate incidents are brought together to form one story. The reason The MC, Alex Duggins own the local pub. A friend, Tony Harrison owns the veterinary clinic and there is a relationship between them. Kyle Gammage who works for Tony discover a body. Alex learns the Kyle and his brother Scoot have been living by themselves while their Father is working and has not been presented for some time. In order to protect the boys from Social Services, they lied to the police. The reason The Father is missing most of the time is critical to the story. The lie involved them with the murder. There are enough turns in the narrative to keep you changing the pages. The ending is a surprise and intriguing. I highly recommend this book. Disclosure: I received a free copy from Severn House for an honest review. I would like to thank them for this opportunity to read and review the book. The opinions expressed are my own.
