Moor Park Library are going back in time for a celebration of Shakespeare. National Shakespeare Week is 20-26 March 2017, so come along and read one of your favourite plays, find a new favourite or read about his life. To read or not to read, that is the question…
For fiction readers we are also going back in time with our ‘Reading is Timeless’ display. From Jane Austen’s classic Pride and Prejudice to E L James Fifty Shades of Grey, there is something for everybody. And to help you on your way the lovely Colin Firth is here to help, not in person sadly, but he illustrates the point so well. He delighted us as Mr Darcy in Pride and Prejudice and captured our hearts 20 years later in Bridget Jones’ Diary!
Let Mr Darcy promenade you through the historical novels the likes of Stephanie Laurens, Bernard Cornwell, Charlotte Bronte and Alexandre Dumas. Or maybe try coasting with something more modern with Mark Darcy and read a selection of books by Lisa Jewell, Andy McNab, Sheila O’Flanagan or Carl Hiaason.
