review 1: I read the book Chasing Lincoln's Killer by James L. Swanson. The book is about John Wilkes Booth and how he killed Lincoln. John was a famous actor so he had access to everyone who was famous. When the Lincoln's went to Fords theater John used that to get into Lincoln's booth where he was sitting and pulled out his gun and shot him right behind the ear. John ran away and hopped on his horse meeting up with one of his friends. Lincoln could not be saved from the gun shot wound. I thought this book was a really good book because it told every detail on how John killed lincoln and how he escaped! I recommend this book to anyone who wants to know about history or wants to know how lincoln died.
review 2: Chasing Lincolns Killer by James L Swanson is an historical ... morefiction book about Lincolns Assassination. This book is about John Wilkes Booth who is known as Lincolns killer. This story explains how Booths killed Lincoln and the path he took so he could survive. Booths plan was to kill lincoln as retreat in the south but it didn't go as planned. This book is very intense as you are always wanting to know more for example when Booths accomplice has to kill somebody and gets into a fight you want to know how will he do it or will he get caught. I would recommend this book to any middle schooler who like intense books that aren't that scary. I would also recommend this to people who want to know more about the presidents. less
