What Are You Reading Wednesday #57: The Night Mark

What Are You Reading Wednesdays #WAYRW is a weekly feature on It’s A Reading Thing. It’s fairly straight forward. Just answer a few simple questions about the book you are currently reading and the post it. If you use the image above, please make sure you link it back to It’s A Reading Thing.

How to participate:
Grab the book you are currently reading and answer three questions:

1. What’s the name of your current read?

The Night Mark by Tiffany Reisz

2. Go to page 34 in your book or 34% in your eBook and share a couple of sentences.

So who the hell was she?

Faye quickly packed up the medals and put them away before Carrick found her.

She left the little bedroom and pressed her hand to her forehead as a wave of panic and nausea rushed through her.  It was happening again-the fear, the foreboding, the sense that she was losing all touch with reality.  She had to get out of here, out of this house, out of this time and this world.  How had she gotten here?  The water had brought her.  Maybe if the water had brought her, the water could take her back again.  Fleeing the house, Faye ran to the ocean’s edge and waded into the water up to her thighs.  Nothing happened.  She waited for a wave to hit her, but no wave came.  The water behaved, merely licking and lapping at her legs.

3. Would you like to live in the world that exists within your book? Why or why not?

I am actually just starting this book today, so I don’t know if I would want to live in this world or not.  I love Tiffany Reisz books, so I’m sure I’ll love this book.  But that doesn’t mean I want to live in some of the worlds she’s built.  Some of them are just guilty pleasures for me to enjoy.
