review 1: Lex thinks that everyone besides Jonatan is an idiot, idiots who want attention and have already planned their whole lives before even finishing high school. To start with the bright parts of this book, I liked the suburban plot and how Lex’s connection with her mother is described. Bruno’s character felt actually the most truthful to me. It felt somehow like he was a real human being and not only a two dimensional carton figure. He was sloppy, annoying, actually shaved his pubes at his girlfriend’s house, and I think he was simply trying to be a person. I do think thought, that he was an annoying character. Like most of them. The downside of Lex bok I would say was Lex herself. I don’t know if Kadefors actually wanted to make her that apathetic, or if she created he... morer like that unconsciously. The authoress could be either a very good one, or some kind of Lex. She hates everyone and everything, but that is not even the worst. The worst thing she did was her hostile acting towards Jonatan, especially when he actually had a dream and wanted to create something. Lex only trashes his ideals. Friends are there for friends, she wants him to help her but does this ever work the other way around? Maya and Lex? They are exactly the same, but yet Maya is somehow everything Lex hates. Maya is shallow but yet deep, a celebrity with her ‘’cool’’ left, and a misunderstood child. I believe Lex is one of the most hypocrite characters I’ve ever read about. Childhoods are usually messy. People have had it both better and worse than her; I’m not saying that her fictive life wasn’t bad, but hell where would we be if everyone would suddenly turn into an indifferent and dispirited douche? Quick as it can get, no one unexpectedly turns out to be Stockholm’s hottest blog queen after a couple of weeks and some posts about a chaotic childhood and the politics Lex would never have the energy to even think about. ‘’Själens sår’’, Lex said herself that it sounds incredibly pathetic. Lex relation with her father feels like a dominant technique. She was daddy’s good girl, talked to Bruno about her life because he said so and then mopped the floor with the guy when he told Lex to start a blog to compete with Bruno’s book. To round this up, I’m sorry but I would not recommend this book, at least not from my point of view. Lex’s thought have not kept me up thinking. Like I wrote before, the only good think I found was the plot itself because I have not read something alike this book before. As I mentioned, I would not recommend it, but since everyone has different thought about pretty much everything, try it out and see if it’s a book for you. There is no accounting for tastes.
