review 1: Very honest and, at times, heartfelt. Sarah took a chance and came to L.A. to pursue her dreams. Yeah, she blows it, but seems to have fun doing it. Reminded me of a female Ben Peller... both came out West and found adventure. (I'm in Minnesota so I can appreciate both of these authors heading West and chronicling their escapades in the wilds of L.A.) Next up is one of Chelsea's (probably "Are You There Vodka? I's Me, Chelsea." and then Peller's "To Live and Love In L.A." Gonna be a hot springtime reading season!
review 2: I enjoy Sarah Colonna on Chelsea Lately, but this book was almost unbearable. I believe the most accurate statement was halfway through the book. "As I type this I realize that it probably isn't that funny to read, but it made us laugh." A
... morelthough she was talking about one particular episode with one of her many hookups, it really applied to the whole book. The worst thing is that the only story that made me laugh was the boyfriend she was trying to get hold of all day after she blew him off to go out with Chelsea. I thought it was hilarious when his roommate finally answered the phone and told her that he had died in a car accident. Unfortunately, this wasn't the punchline, it was the truth. Overall, this was a pathetic, repetitive tale of sex, alcohol and the follies of youthfulness. Not necessarily in that order. less

was a quick read, and was amusing enough at times but I did not find it to be "laugh out loud" funny

I enjoyed the beginning of this book yet it began to become very repetitive and I simply got bored.
