review 1: If you read this book for the reasons it was written, it was a great book! It isn't going to give any earth changing answers to life with autism questions, but it will be just another small reminder that those of us living day in and day out with autism are not alone. This is a well written account of another family affected by autism. I am thankful for those who have, and take the time to share their experiences.
review 2: An autobiography of their family and discovering and dealing with their son's autism. There's too much detail at times--cutting the book by half would make it twice as interesting. I also feel that the book might have been a better addition to literature on Asperger's and family life had she held off for, say, ten years or so. The book en... moreds shortly after their 7-year-old son's diagnosis. It would be nice to read a bit more about how they deal (or have dealt) with his disability as he grew up. less
