review 1: This is a very hard review to write especially as it is a true story. Whilst I truly felt sympathy for the family and inspired by their courage and strength in dealing with the most tragic circumstances, this book really was badly written and to be honest I skimmed the last 40%. The book went on and on and on about the same stuff and I think had it been condensed into half the pages avoiding the waffle it would have actually been a good book. Nevertheless I wish the family only good health, happiness and love for ever!
review 2: A really sad story that makes you feel powerless at seeing how cruel life can be. Without a moment break it threw at that lovely family and loving couple all the unspeakable negatives one can think of.HOWEVERI gave this book 2 stars
... more(which would be 2.5 actually, if I was given the chance). Reason beyond my choice is pretty simple: there are things that are better kept to ourselves. I found in this book extremely private thoughts and moments that I still think shouldn't have been shared with public. Although I saw it as a way to tell the world the story of this amazing, brave, strong woman, I also felt this book was an absolution to Mr Greene and to some choices he made along the path. Kind of explanation on how and why he came to take his decisions - but in a way that made it look as if he were justifying himself. He had nothing to explain nor to justify for. He had to deal with a great loss and grow up his two kids alone: he proved himself more than enough. So 2.5 stars be then. If this very story had been published in a blog, I'd have happily given it 5. But I still feel a diary to keep within the family walls would do just as well. less

Didn't finish just because it was very repetitive.
