review 1: I really liked this book. I true story that took place in New Bedford and Fall River MA. An unbelievable story of kid who grows up in foster care by abusive parents then attends Boston College (we wont hold that against him). Horrible foster parents and abusive family and yet got through it. Then went on to find his siblings that he never knew he had and the history of his mother and his father. A really good book that I liked!
review 2: Recommended by a friend, this non-fiction book was a great journey into the world of foster care and the power and will of a child to overcome all circumstances and "have a chance in the world". ... more finally escapes them. Would have rated it higher but got a bit slower towards the end. Tear jerker for sure. less
