review 1: This book was okay. I wasn't digging the format..transcribing voice interviews, you end up with a juvenile writing style. It didn't really come off as journalistic as you would expect... I think compilations with pieces written by the group being focused on are a bit better. There also weren't enough transwomen or transfeminine nonbinary people. I appreciate the project, but it really has like a first-intro-to-the-subject sort of simplicity.
review 2: This was such an amazing book! I had to read it for class and I am so glad that I did. What great and heartfelt stories. I thought I knew a little bit about the transgender society, but man was I wrong. This book is a must read for everyone! It really sheds a light on a community that gets countelessly overlooked.
... more You don't always accept what you don't know, but this book is trying to break that and educate people. I cried, I laughed, I was amazed at the beautiful transformations. All of these stories are of people just like you and me, and everyone's story deserves to be told. Great read! Amazing pictures! less
