review 1: I have always been a fan of Ted Turner. I try to read all the books about him. He is a fascinating man who made billions out of a couple of millions he inherited from his dad. He won the America's Cup before high tech took a hold of the races. He owns over a million acres of Bison or Buffalo herd ranches all over America & Argentina. He is the founder of CNN when it was worth watching it & formerly owned Atlanta Braves. He is indeed an American worth reading about!
review 2: Ted Turner is 1/2 lunatic, 1/2 visionary. I really enjoyed his description of buidling his media empire. Perhaps an unintentional attribute of the book is that it's a great history of the cable industry. Who would have thought The Cartoon Network would be so profitable? Ted Turner did. I w
... moreish he had provide more stories regarding his ownership of the Atlanta Braves. I did not find his America's Cup/sailing adventures interesting.He's an interesting guy. Worth reading. less
