review 1: Awful stuff. A real trial to plough through. Lacks any discernible juicy information or sign of likeability from the writer to keep you engaged, in places written in a confrontational style to almost taunt the reader to dislike the mysterious author. At the start of the book it claims people have set up a website to try and uncover the identity of the mysterious author. On the evidence of reading this self centred, vapid , bland dross, the only mystery is why anyone would be bothered enough to want to find out.
review 2: A shocking waste of paper. All but reinforces the cliches and stereotypes involved in football(arrogance, contempt for the fans, celebrity lifestyle ).Revels nothing noteworthy we learn nothing about the player other than he considers himself an
... moreti-authority yet he gives us no examples infact he seems quite happy to go along with his peer group. He claims to be a reader and love the arts but again no proof is provided the player gets too caught up with tales of wild nights and little insight. A opportunity missed to prove there's more to football and it's players. less
