review 1: Quentin Chambers has decided that living for Christ doesn't pay off. If it did, his beloved wife Chandra would still be alive, helping him take care of their five children. God would have surely answered his prayer to heal her. Therefore, Quentin decides to live his life on his terms, doing what makes him happy, even if it goes against his Christian upbringing.Facing eviction, Montana, doesn't know what she is going to do. All she knows is that God is going to show up on time. And that he does, in the form of Estelle Chambers, Quentin's mother. Estelle feels that her grandchildren needs some guidance. They need a woman's touch in their lives. So she offers Montana the job of being the Chamber's kids nanny. She will have a place to stay with a $50,000 salary. Montana... more can't refuse this! Without even trying, Montana becomes part of the Chamber's family. The kids love her and Quentin is even smiling, something he hasn't truly done since Chandra's death. All is well, but Chloe, Quentin's plaything for the last five years will not let the "hired help" come in a take claim to her man.Let the games begin! This book was a breath of fresh air. It wasn't filled with dramatic events, but it kept me turning the pages because I wanted to know what was going to happen next. The reader wasn't beat over the head with the Christian themes. They were "realizations" that hit you after a little talk with Jesus. Great job Mrs. Warren. I highly recommend this book to all readers.
review 2: The Next Mrs. ChambersQuentin Chambers is sexy and very wealthy. Quentin ‘was’ a man of the church and God fearing. That is until he lost his wife five years prior, leaving behind him and their five children. Quentin refuses to step back in the church or fully give his heart to another woman. The pain from losing his wife was just too much. His kids are grieving and begin acting out in their own way and Quentin is oblivious to their pain. His mother intervenes on Quentin’s behalf and hires someone to be a live-in ‘nanny’ of sorts to take the children to their activities or help them with school work and such.Montana is the beautiful young lady with an even more beautiful spirit that Quentin’s mother hires for the job. At the time of being offered the job Montana is down on her luck and was literally praying for a miracle. Immediately Montana sees that the Chambers family is broken. With prayer, faith and love, Montana sets out to bring this family whole once again. In the process she begins to have feelings for Quentin but refuses to act on them because she knows that Quentin is not ready for the love she has been waiting for and is willing to give. Not to mention he has a girlfriend, that no one seems to like.Chloe (the girlfriend) is more than happy being arm candy for Quentin. She is in no rush to get married…until she lays eyes on the new nanny. Chloe cannot explain it but for some reason she feels threatened by the fact that this church girl will be living under the same roof with her man. The gifts and credit cards Quentin bestows upon her are enough to keep Chloe content…or so it was in the beginning. The one thing she has never been able to capture from Quentin is his heart. What will she do in order to become the next Mrs. Chambers? The Replacement Wife by Tiffany L. Warren was a quick read. It kind of reads like a cute Lifetime movie you would expect to see during the romance marathon they play on the weekend occasionally. It was a light story but with the typical woman who schemes to get what she wants, no matter what it may cost her in the end. The only issue I found with the book was two particular scenes (no spoilers) that I was like WHAT? It was nothing that impacted the story but just was not needed. Overall the story was pretty good. less
