review 1: A well written self analysis of why women chose the wrong man again and again. As someone who has also made a habit of picking the worst possible mate, I can tell you she did an awesome job of explaining what's broke and how to look at ourselves for the solutions. And what's wrong with the men we choose. It was also an entertaining book; a difficult undertaking considering the subject matter. She's candid and honest. It's a wonder this woman is successful, considering all the problems she had to overcome. I recommend this book.
review 2: A biography that is straight out of Cosmo. A daughter of a pimp in Minnesota(?) takes 3 marriages and a 10 year old boy to straighten out and come to like herself. My favorite part was the explanations about her on again off
... moreagain relationship with her father in federal prison. I did not like her because for most of the book she doesn't like herself either. I don't know anyone as miserable as this. She is a successful news writer. less

Poignant non-fiction. Mixed race success in part due to pimp father's love.
