A Bride for Eight Brothers
review 1: Mikayla's Men is book one in the erotica menage series, A Bride for Eight Brothers Series by Abby Blake. This story is about Mikayla, a young woman who trusted the wrong man and ended up a victim of human trafficking. Wheb Matt, one of seven brothers finds her, he buys out her contract and she works on his ship as an administrative assistant. She forms a bond with the men and they share her in and out of bed. The sex scenes are hot and the story is compelling without getting in the way of the sex. This was my first Abby Blake story and I really enjoyed her style. I will definitely keep reading this series.
review 2: 3.5 out of 5. For those who like romance with menage, this is certainly the series for you. Eight husbands? I can't even imagine it. One i
... mores almost more than I can handle. Yet in this futuristic world, Mikayla is saved from the sex slave market by one of the brothers and when they find out her history and why she was there in the first place, they become aware of her in a different way. While all the brothers are not opposed to being recipients of her "services" it turns out that their emotions become involved and in a world where multiple marriage/polyamorous families are the norm, Mikayla becomes wife to all the brothers--seven initially. This is a novella as are all the books in this series. It certainly was an entertain read and I don't know which is the greater fantasy--living on a planet in a Universe connected by space travel, or having to keep eight husbands happy. I certainly have to keep reading to see how this lady pulls this off. My lower rating is more due to the brevity of the work rather than the story or the quality of writing. I am really a bit peeved at all the novellas in the ebook world--certainly a lucrative market for the publisher. But having said that, some of these series are such fun that I will pay the price even if I find they are somewhat inflated. less
