review 1: Wow I think I feel a little sick after reading that ending. Surprise, surprise. Everything managed to work itself out miraculously in the last five pages. Even more amazing is not only how gullible Amanda was about her brother but how she still was at the end with Jake. Congratulations. And Jake. I'm sorry but I don't see him as a knight in shining armour, mostly I just see him as a stubborn man who meddled in everything pretending it was for the best just like he complained his grandfather did. Also, I don't see how they were perfect for each other. She wasn't perfect but he annoyed me like Hell and her friend Kate wasn't much better either.Last but not least...I don't see this book as romantic. I see it like some poor imitation of romance with a healthy misconception tha... moret a woman needs a man to be happy, that otherwise her life is not worth it.
review 2: Positively the most adorable and fun read that I've had in my hands all summer. Clean romantic novel with one very stubborn woman (Amanda) and one former Navy Seal (Jake)who's a commitment phob but, really, it was him who went on to commit. They have a classic fake engagement to the almost fake marriage. Jake needs to get married to obtain his trust and start a business to help Veterans coming home from Iraq. And that is where the comedy of errors and misunderstandings begin. Very good read. Read it on a road trip (Someone else driving) And am happy to say that it stands alone and yet Abby Matisse (Author) is adding to the series (Although they haven't been released) and continue with the story. I received the book as a good reads giveaway but, I also purchased it for my kindle. I've put her next books on my wish list on Amazon so I keep a check on their release. I highly recommend this book on all merits. Five stars! less
