review 1: This is one of those books that you want to stay up to read because it is so good. I really like it when the author makes the reader feel that they want to be best friends with the main character. And they don't give the main character any annoying flaws. Also it was a good change for me the main character is a boy and it took me out of all the girly books I been reading, I think I enjoy this book a lot because I like all the characters in this book. It a fantasy book with some action and my favorite is it's funny. The synopsis of this book doesn't give this book any justice.
review 2: This was a good book at the beginning. The world-building was good, and I liked the authentic-ness of the main character, Tavin. But towards the middle it just got really bor... moreing. Nothing was really happening, but I could see the author was trying to build up the romance. I just didn't see that much of a connection or chemistry between Tavin and Khaya. And there wasn't a lot of action. Overall this was an okay read. less
