review 1: I think Alexandra is fast becoming my new favourite author!I loved this book, it was packed of adventure and not slow moving like a lot of other novels can be, I think we can all identify with ruby in one way or another which makes the character loveable, and the story amazing in her travels across India, it even inspired me to perhaps travel there one day, maybe without eating train chocolate though! I was hooked on this book and would recommend it to everyone, I'm now collecting all her other books!
review 2: A really great book, easy to read, and the writing style is excellent. I love the characters, how they are so different or should I say unique.It didn't feel like I was reading a story, it felt like I, myself, am in the story.Some parts were cliché. But... more not the kind of cliché that would make you want to throw up. In some parts, the events were kind of predictable. But even though I kind of figured out what would happen, I can't stop reading. It was that good!I wouldn't deny, when I was at the bookstore with my friend, I was hesistant on buying the book, but my friend convinced me to pick it up. So I ended up buying it. Maybe I was meant to read The Love Detective. And my friend is my very own Rocky, who knew that this book would touch my heart. less
